My Post for the Bugaboo Stamps DT Call

Hello and welcome to my blog! I would like to apply for one of the Design Team positions open at Bugaboo Stamps. I have enjoyed working with Bugaboo Stamps for the last few months, and really love Jodie's characters and designs. My favorites are the Bugaboo Brats, but I really like them all.  Jodie's images are easy to work with, fun to color and really inspire me to create. It is for all of these reasons I would enjoy being a member of the Bugaboo Stamps Design Team. I have featured three cards for your review. Thank you for taking the time to consider them. I look forward to the possibilty of working with you! Lisa

A Halloween card, using a Bugaboo stamp, Har Repotter "chosen one." Sketch is my own design. Original post of this card is here.

A fall birthday card using a Sweet 'n' Sassy digi, and a sketch from The Sweet Stop Challenge blog. The original post for this card is here.

A recipe card using Tilda with Spring Bundler from Magnolia Stamps. Original post for this card is here.

I have listed other recent projects using Bugaboo stamps below.

My email address is lisa@mldesignworks.com. Thank you again! Lisa

OK. . .ONE More Halloween Card!

I bought this adorable digi from Jodie over at Bugaboo Stamps. Actually, I got it because I donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund--she had a really nice option to donate for her "What's Your Cause" week.

Anyway, here is my adorable little witch on what (maybe) is my last Halloween card for the season. I thought I was done, but then I saw that there are several Halloween challenges this week, and sure couldn't pass those up!

A Bookmark for My 6YO DD!

Hello! I hope you are having a wonderful day! I've made a Tilda bookmark for my dd, since she recently learned to read! (Yay!) She is now one step away from always carrying a paperback novel in her back pocket.  The kid is always reading! :-)

Since there is a Travel theme on Magnolia Down Under is travel, I put a true and travel-related sentiment on the back of the bookmark. I hope that counts--I had to be creative, since I don't yet have any of those adorable Tilda travel stamps!

One Last Halloween Card!

Well, I caved today and went and bought Hershey Bars, Reese's, and Peppermint Patties at Wal-Mart today. If you read my candy post a few days ago, maybe you'll remember that I went to the dollar store for my Halloween candy (in order to be able to buy more stamps, of course!) But. . .I don't know, I just wanted to make some treat bags for my kids, and the kids coming over for Halloween. I had these grand thoughts of making cupcakes with little pumpkins on them, or dirt and worms pudding, and I still might, but. . . The chocolate is my fall-back option. (And I can spirit some away for me and hubby!)

Anywho, here's one last Halloween card. It is with that sketch that I made up the other day. I've drawn a picture of it in my photo editor, so I'll post it soon. The image on the front is a freebie from the OWH Stars and Stamps web site, I think. I can't remember the lady's name who drew it! :-(

The inside image is a freebie from Meljen's Designs. I'm really liking her images. So many great digi stamp companies out there!

I saw the punched edges inside on Lena Katrine's card the other day. Hers was very much fancier and so beautiful, and I really liked the idea. So I borrowed it--hope you don't mind, Lena Katrine! :-)

Thank you for following me through the Halloween season! I hope all of you have a wonderful Halloween, if you celebrate it. If not, I hope it is a beautiful fall evening where you are.

A huge thank you to all of my new followers! Who know I would have so many?! Welcome and I hope you enjoy and we can talk in blogland. I will by to visit all of you soon!

My Card for a Cause

Hello! Several challenge blog this week are hosting pink ribbon challenges for Breast Cancer Awareness month. This image is this week's freebie over at Bugaboo Stamps. She also has a bunny with a ribbon. Cute! I've made this card with no designer paper according to the Digi Doodles challenge this week. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, and probably isn't the best example of my work. But. . .I had left out a part of the equation that I use pretty much to distraction! It was fun to try!

I popped the face and paw of the bear again with the glue dots stacked together. I like that height pretty well. I guess I should find a glue dot that is that height so I don't use up all my glue dots double time!

I made my own flowers, but there again, I don't think they don't look as good as with designer paper. Distressing was a feature of a couple of challenges too, so I edge distressed with Walnut Stain Distress ink and also used my paper distresser on some of the edges.

I actually made the sketch myself. I'd like to work on it a little more, and then I'll post a drawing of my sketch for you to try.

Getting ready for Halloween? Us too! The kids are counting the days!! :-)

Thanks for looking and happy stampin'!

An Autumn Thank-You Card

Good morning! Our family went to a friend's house to carve pumpkins yesterday. They were really great hosts, and I made them a fall thank you card. The image is from Sweet 'n' Sassy, and the sketch is from The Sweet Stop.

I put two layers of glue dots on the back of my cut-out flower, which makes it pop up a little, but not as much as the pop dots with the foam core in them.Sometimes those foamy ones pop out too much for me.

I colored my plain white pearls with my Copics, with some of the same color that I used on the sunflowers. I think it was Y21 and Y17.

I really like the Sweet 'n' Sassy digi images. They are easy and fun to color, and have bold outlines, which I really like.

I hope you're getting some time to craft today, or even to play or work outside! We've just been pulling weeds in the flowerbeds and trying to get them all ready for winter. Have to go buy and spread some mulch this afternoon!

My Card for Totally Tilda

Hello everybody! Hope you're having a good Saturday. We've been carving our Halloween pumpkins, but I did have time finally to make a card for Totally Tilda's spooky challenge. Hopefully I'm not too late with the deadline! The sketch is from The Sweet Stop, but I did change it up a little.

These Halloween cards have been so fun! I think I might be able to squeeze in one or two more this weekend!
