My Card for Two Challenges

Good morning and happy Monday! I received my 2009 Winter Stamp Kit from Whiff of Joy last week, and this is the first card I've made with the stamps. They are all very pretty--I'm very pleased with them! I like the surprise of it too! I look forward to using more of them for my Christmas cards. I'd like to enter this card in two challenges:

Sketch and Stash Challenge--using my newest stamps and paper, this was a really fun sketch!

Whiff of Joy Challenge--Red and Cream plus one other color--I chose black (although I guess technically I used gold and brown for the presents and sled. . .)

**Note** It's been brought to my attention that this card would also qualify for this week's Simon Says Stamp Challenge, so I would like to enter it in that one also. Thanks!!

A Card for Papertake Weekly Challenge

Hello everybody! I looooved this challenge!! What a fantastic idea, Papertake Weekly! Thanks for the inspiration! The challenge was to use black and white plus one other color.

I used my new Fred She Said digi stamp for the main image and an older SU set for the background--Polkadots and Paisleys, I think it is called. And my new Martha Stewart punch for the lace look. The sentiment stamp is from a Simon Says Stamp Exclusive set.

Hello everyone! I've been taking a short break from cardmaking, as the kiddos were asking me to make some clothes for their American Girl Dolls--which has been super fun! But, since I have my sewing machine out, I was able to play with my machine's fancy stitches and make this card for Simon Says Stamp's Challenge this week. Good morning! The challenge over at Simon Says Stamp is to do an Oriental theme. That was perfect because I had the O Happy Day set from Simon Says Stamp that I won in some blog candy from Heidi! It is a really cute set, and was easy to do the paper piecing with. I had some Origami paper, and voila! An Oriental card. It was a fun challenge, thank you as always, ladies! Lisa :-)

Hello everyone! At my house, we are continually going back to school and always have (even before kids) because my husband is a professor (so proud of him!!) But when I think "back to school" I think of the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. This stamp reminds me of that time.
