Happy Saturday! We've been busy once again! My 10 year old was inspired by a cute card on the Simon Says Stamp Blog, and made this card. She is particularly proud of it because she says that it's the first time that she's really paid attention to composition and design. We had a nice discussion about what makes for good composition of a card. We even evaluated a magazine advertisement and found that the graphic artist had used the same design principles (rule of three, eye movement to key elements) in the advertisment.
Even though I think it's just fun to create and don't usually pay attention too much to all the "rules," if you want to make something look great on a page, you usually can by applying those principles. There are tons of tutorials out there.
