Here is my daughter's entry for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge--to use something recycled. She says about this card. . ."this was harder than the last challenge because I didn't know exactly what to do with my recycled piece, but it was fun making it anyway." Hey, if it's fun, then there's the only reason you need, right? She used a piece of the packaging from some highlighters she had gotten earlier in the week. Way to go, kiddo! :-)
