A Mother's Day Card

Hello again everyone! I've made a card for my mom for Mother's Day. I tried to make the flowers look like pansies. . .
Since I only have one Magnolia stamp, I've used the same one as I used to make my card for last week's Just Magnolia challenge, but I hope that's OK. Everybody was right, I am getting addicted! So I'll be getting some more soon!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
Just Magnolia--sketch, a great one!
Color Throwdown--wonderful color combination!

Thanks a bunch for looking and happy stampin'! Lisa :-)

Another Bluebonnet Card for My Mom!

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog! I've been making bluebonnet cards for my mom to give to some colleagues. This is my third one. I found this really nice digi stamp from Fred She Said--perfect for bluebonnets! I'm beginning to really love digi stamps! I've made another try at making my own flowers, and they are really fun to make! I used some origami paper, which seems to give them a lighter texture. I also put some Wheatfields Glimmer Mist on them (I believe I heard about doing that from rach.) My flowers are getting better! I also used a new embossing folder from Cuttlebug--for borders. This was perfect for the theme and embossed really well.

I'd like to enter this card in all of these great challenges--thanks for the inspiration!

A Winter Wonderland Challenge Card

Good morning! I've made a Christmas card for this week's Winter Wonderland Challenge. The challenge was "anything goes." I thought Santa would be tired of red by now, and maybe like to wear his green suit instead! Thanks for the inspiration! I used one of my Santa stamps from Whiff of Joy. And I used those Christmas Swirls again--I'm really liking those! I colored Santa with my new Copic markers. Those are really growing on me too! I also used some Prima flowers and my Martha Stewart leaf punch. The brads and papers I got from good ole' Hobby Lobby. (Hard to argue with half off, I guess!)  Thanks for looking and happy stampin' today! Lisa :-)

A New Bluebonnet Card for My Mom

Good morning! I was excited to receive my first Tilda stamp in the mail from All That Scraps yesterday! She is really sweet and fun to color. I notice that she is sold out, now, so everyone must think she's as fun as I did. I didn't think about it when I ordered her, but her flower bundle could become bluebonnets! So, I've made another bluebonnet card for my mom. I made some more flowers, too. They aren't great, but they are getting better. This week's Pollycraft  has some great examples I'll need to try! There are so many fun challenges out there--is it my imagination or are there more than ever? Anyway, I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges.

My Card for the Corrosive Challenge

Good morning! I am busy making some Texas bluebonnet cards for my mom to send to some colleagues. I sometimes have a tough time making cards to order, but I thought I might try and meet challenges with these cards to make it more fun. (She needs 22 of them, but they don't all have to be alike, whew!) So, this week, the Corrosive Challenge is for charms. These are more like beads, but hopefully they will read charm-y enough to meet the challenge! I will have to get some charms--thanks for the idea, ladies! Have a great Monday! Lisa

Ronnie Relaxing Fundraiser Card for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity

Isn't this just the cutest digi? Ronnie has a story too, here it is from Emma:

"You may or may not be aware that my Dad died last September following an accident at work...in his memory my family & I are raising funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity.

Whilst chatting to Paula from Pollycraft about the fundraising she did the most amazing thing and offered to draw a special edition digi for me in Dads memory. I gave Paula a brief on my Dad and here is...''Ronnie Relaxing''
''Ronnie'' is available to buy for only £1.50 directly from the Pollycraft shop. ALL proceeds from the sales will go to the YAA."

What a wonderful idea! So, here is my card for Emma's fundraising challenge. Thanks for the cute image, Emma, and I hope that you raise tons for the Air Ambulance Charity.

I used a great sketch hosted by Carole at Friday Sketchers. I'd like to enter that challenge also.
Have a great day! Lisa

My Card for the Copic Creations Challenge

Good morning and happy Saturday! The sketch at Everybody Art Challenge is really nice this week. I'll be saving that to use again! Since I bought me new Copic markers and need to learn to use them, I found a really nice challenge blog just for that purpose. It's called Copic Creations. This week, they are featuring coloring black hair. They have collected tutorials and videos to help you learn, and then the challenge is to make a card with your new skill and post it. Neat, huh? So, I thought I'd try. This girl is soo sweet, it wouldn't matter what her hair looked like, which is good because it certainly isn't perfect! But I was pleased with my first try.

My Card for Sketch and Stash Callenge

Good morning and happy Saturday! This card is similar in color to one I made earlier this week, but it is different! I just loved the combination so much, I made another one! This week's sketch at Sketch and Stash challenge was very simple, but really fun to make. And it was easy to feature my new item--my flower punches from EK Success! I'd wanted to try making my own flowers after seeing several ladies' cards with their own handmade flowers lately. These are OK, but next, I'm going to try the method from Ranita I found on the Whiff of Joy Tutorial Blog. This looks really fun, and pretty easy to accomplish. I need that bigger flower punch, though. It's on my wish list!!
